is that a tree growing out of that pipe Good call and I had to examine again; I thought "surely I couldn't miss something like that"; but, it is an optical illusion; it does look like it is growing out of the pipe..... On closer examination, it is a fork of the sapling that is just ahead. That "pipe" is the weatherhead that carries the three big electrical wires down into the meterbase, which is on the wall below. You can see the wires coming down from the pole and disappearing into the foliage to enter the pipe. Around here, you do see a lot of young trees, and corn and oats and fescue and everything else, growing in people's gutters.

Faulkner Road - South US Hwy 127 - Casey County - Kentucky Faulkner Road is on the West side of US127; on the South side of Walnut Hill; paralleling US127 between Calhoun Creek and US127. Several years ago, pre-1994, Faulkner Road was US127. Photo Taken from a Moving Vehicle Monday__15-May-2023
Faulkner Road Mansion
This is the same house as HERE, except from different perspectives; this time, I was passenger in a low-to-the-ground SUV-wannabe and took the shots while turning out of Faulkner Road onto US127.I took these two screenshots of Streetview as it is probably the only opportunity we will ever have to get a look at the entire house minus all the brush.
They must have known it was going to be picture day and gave the place a haircut.

I'd rather be in some dark holler where the sun don't never shine...

Nelson Road Gable Front Cumberland House
As seen through the windshield of a Combine Harvester.
This one has been modernized and has had the second front door eliminated.
Nelson Road runs across the scene between the soybean field and the green grass.
Notice the collapsed barn behind the house.
I almost never got the sky to appear like it had been shot through a thick dust-covered combine harvester windshield; that was the look I was going for.
