Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Traffic lights can be a real pain to motorists in a hurry, but they keep things safe at busy junctions and allow the poor pedestrian time to cross the road in safety. i.ibb.co/YWVtLhQ/TL.jpgDennis

Staying safely behind the tape as crews work to replace the telephone pole that was knocked down in a horrific traffic accident this morning. Thanks for the challenge Sepiana!

Took a picture looking down at the scaffolding surrounded by the safety cones the other day. When I just came in I saw one of the workers with his helmet and safety vest on preparing for tomorrow.

A sign at an railroad crossing with no barrier. I had to look up what the cross is called and it's a crossbuck and is a pretty much global standard although interesting to see the country variants in that Wikipedia link And a sign at the trailhead of this mornings trail walk. Never used to bother about them in winter but it turns out they wake up when the temperature gets above 4C which, these days, is not uncommon. Tony

There are three safety warnings on my treadmill....... Took a picture looking down at the scaffolding surrounded by the safety cones the other day. When I just came in I saw one of the workers with his helmet and safety vest on preparing for tomorrow. Helen, these all fit the theme. I really like the second submission -- the images with the downwards shooting angle and the inclusion of the human element.

Bell to alert the driver on a vintage bus. Not good for children, as high up, but a good safety feature. Matthew Matthew, this is a safety gem! It makes one stop and wonder how and when it was used. Great finding!

cjt, you found a very important safety feature. Many bus riders have missed that step. Good job!

Traffic lights can be a real pain to motorists in a hurry, but they keep things safe at busy junctions and allow the poor pedestrian time to cross the road in safety. Dennis Dennis, great interpretation of Safety. Many drivers don’t like these lights but they save lives. That’s what it matters!

Staying safely behind the tape as crews work to replace the telephone pole that was knocked down in a horrific traffic accident this morning. Thanks for the challenge Sepiana! Bill, great job! Staying safe yet succeeding in capturing such a scene. I can’t even imagine the horrors of this traffic accident.

Tony, two great examples of Safety taken to another level -- railroad crossing and ticks. Perfect for this week’s theme.
