OK. I admit it smacks a little of "Chocolate Box" image, but this freshly whitewashed cottage really stood out against the background of foliage.

Brenda, you had me running to the OED for the meaning of "Chocolate Box". It may be so but this is a wonderful image. As they say . . . it is quintessentially British. I love it!
