Used Stylize an add-on I purchased for photoshop. Added a snow overlay. Helen, nice effect -- with subdued colors and a snow overlay. This would make a great seasonal notecard.

Tony, very interesting editing -- sketch-looking, soft colors. Do you mind sharing how you achieved this effect? Good question and I don't have a good answer! I had just updated my Nik Collection and was playing around with it - I would have used Viveza 3 and added structure among other adjustments and then Color Efex Pro 4 and used the detaii extractor and fog filters but I was checking out some of the features (and watching a tutorial video at the same time ) so what exactly I did escapes me. The snow was an afterthought in PS using the noise filter and motion blur. Should have looked for a snow overlay as others have done because they look more realistic. Tony

Sepiana - that's so festive and would make a great Christmas card. I love the colors, the frame, and the blue snowy effect.

I also have the NiK Colllection. I like how you created the snow effect; it seems to add texture to the image.

I sincerely appreciate it. The frame came from AKVIS Frames -- Magic Winter pack. The app is free and it comes with several frames. Then, you can purchase extra packs.

tourerjim, your editing made the starter image warm and colorful. It looks like thawing is not too far away. Would you please tell us how you achieved this "look"?

Took into Filter Forge and applied the Cartoon Cartoon filter by Boogie Jack. Added a frame from Cleanpng. BillieJean, the starter image was "screaming" for a cartoon effect and . . . you delivered it. Nice job!
