Actually, I appropriated one of my layouts and tweaked it for my Christmas card. Having a little difficulty with originality lately, so templates and re-using old stuff is really helping me with designing. And yes, those photo blocks are off center on purpose. For some reason, although I'm a very symmetrical designer, I have to offset something in a layout. (Photos are blocked for privacy reasons)
Suggestion: if you have enough hard drive space -- save all your layouts as psd's with all layers intact. You can re-use designs and you can easily grab stuff off the layout to use on another layout. Sometimes it's easier to grab a design element off a layout than to look through numerous scrapbook kits to find things. I can see re-using that lantern many times. It was designed by Rosie at Just Art - she is sooooo good at what she does. She is a painter as well as a scrapbook designer. She often uses original paintings in her scrapbook kits.
For those of you from the old scrapping sites, Rosie's skills reminds me of Wendy Williams. Wendy was a master of design. I so miss her and her beautiful work.
