Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

A window at a local place of worship with some interesting arches (and reflections) And the arches at another local place worshipped by many (but not me!) Tony

As soon as I saw this challenge I knew where I would like to go for a picture. It is supposed to be especially cold here for the next few days so not sure if I'll get there. After seeing Bill's CD, I challenged myself to see what I could find inside. I think my kitchen chair and table should work.

My contribution to this week's theme - the brick arch next to the fireplace. I see it every day. i.ibb.co/ByQLZ8T/A.jpgDennis

What a handsome arrangement you have created inside the arch. I imagine a warm and inviting room, Dennis.

Sidenote: Been above freezing all day as there is a warm Chinook wind howling here. With any luck, there might be a Chinook Arch tomorrow for this week's "arches" challenge. Shall see. Well it happened. After being silly cold recently, a Chinook ( here) blew in yesterday and a decent Chinook Arch (scroll down the linked page) developed this afternoon. Was howling when I took these photos ... gusting to 84 kph which, when you are in the open, is breezy! A Chinook Arch is not an actual arch but a result of simple perspective. These panos span close to 180° north to south and probably cover 150 km or more. (~100 miles end to end.) So the middle of the straight cloud line is maybe 30 km away and the ends 75 or 100 km away. Simple perspective lines. Taken about 3 hours apart. The B&W just west of our town and the color photo taken just west of Lethbridge. The warm Chinook has melted most of the snow. Because they are panos, they will appear small here. Perhaps click on each image to enlarge. Thanks. 10-shot pano.

I went out today to take some pictures of the arch that I had mentioned in my first post. The first one is taken from the porch of the building. The next also taken from the porch shows the three arches. The last is looking at the front of the building from the grassy area.

I like this one, Helen, I could happily sit there just looking out, are they newly built beach homes.

This impressive row of arches supports a viaduct high above a river valley in north London. Strangely enough, the trains that run aloft here are Underground trains! Brenda Beautiful captures We have a viaduct not too far from us and often stand underneath as trains cross, amazing sounds
