To get such praise from the master means I must have done something right.
Wrens, Swifts, Warblers, Finches, Sparrows, and many more, and various versions of each, it's enough to make a man go over the hill talking to hisself....

Thanks; I appreciate that.
I was set up in the back yard, hoping to see some deer; and, this little fat dude landed on the sun-bleached plastic mineral tub that I had turned upside-down over an auxiliary transmission on the back of a truck.
The sun had caused the center of the tub's bottom to break away and drop down, leaving an edge for him to grasp.
A few years ago, that bleached-out broken plastic tub he is perched on was red as a firetruck.
With such an unattractive setting, I am surprised things turned out as well as they did. |

Keep 'em coming. Love wrens. We only have house wrens here. Wrens are so small and so busy. Always busy. And for their size they are noisy. All good. ( Peterj's cactus wrens are HUGE by comparison.) |
