This thread was inspired by Helen's thread Today's Picture. "Tis the Season - Spring" is meant to be a thread where members can post pictures that capture some aspect of this spring season. We are already seeing daffodils and wild irises in Oregon, and I imagine you are also seeing shoots and new growth. There are also holidays coming up: Easter, Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day, just to name a few. Feel free to give a little back-story if you wish. Comments about other's pictures are up to you, when and if, you feel like it. How often you participate is totally up to you.....daily, weekly, occasionally. So let's get started, inspire and encourage each other and just have some fun!

So windy here today. Impressed that my phone could actually get a few pictures. Grouped them together rather than posting individually. Looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures as the beauty of Spring continues to emerge. Thanks for starting this, Tom.

That's a lovely selection of flowers Helen, they make a very pretty group together. Not Spring in Oz, Autumn colours are starting to show on some trees, but there's a long way to go before others lose their greenery. Still nice and warm where I live, daylight saving is about to come to an end early April.

daylight saving is about to come to an end early April. So you guys have that foolishness too; I would have figured Australians to be smarter than Americans and not be messing with the clocks all of the time.
When I was a kid, my entire state was on Central time, Pennsylvania RxR Standard time; then, one county here and another there voted to switch to Eastern time. I live in the center of the state, thank goodness still on Central time; and, several counties around us are now on Eastern time. I can drive in a straight line and run in and out of Eastern time; nobody in the state ever knows what time it actually is, nor what time it is where your destination may be. It is a very common question when scheduling something "What time is it where you are RIGHT NOW ? - nobody thinks that is a stupid question as it is just a big confusing mess. On DST, it is common to see little kids standing beside the road, waiting for the schoolbus, and it dark as Miller's Cave; that has got to be real intelligent. I wish the entire state would go back to Central Standard time and STAY THERE = no DST foolishness. I can't speak for right now, but, a few years ago, we had a few intelligent states who did not observe DST.

BuckSkin This map show the States in Green that have Daylight Saving, those northern states don't need the extra hour of light, but I love the idea of DST, though I can see that it doesn't work for everyone.

I have hope DST will one day be permanent. They've been talking about it for years...

I just love the look of the cascades of Pieris flowers, those little lanterns everywhere!

A solitary foxglove has made a late appearance in the garden I had heard of Foxglove many times and I believe this is the first time a picture has been put with the words.
I admired your flower and was about to move on when it registered in my head that you have employed a pretty neat trick and maybe another first for me; I like how you have made the flower appear through the blurriness through a pink-framed window.

I agree with Buckskin. That technique really showcases your photo
Tom, another terrific flower photo. So pretty. You have employed another technique to make your flowers stand out - that blurred edging works so subtly, but effectively.
