- Created the background with a texture from GraphicBurger (Wrinkled Poster). - Applied a Rain Effect overlay from CityPNG.

Used the paint bucket tool to add color - a word of warning the are that you are filling needs to closed/complete and check contiguous.

I kept getting the outline colored but not the inside of the shape. Any tips? But I didn't try the paint bucket.

Helen - thanks for the kind words -- and really, one has to have a cat to make a layout complete. LOL and, I like how she colors - not quite in the lines
actually, that was an accident - I moved one layer without clicking on the other layer - so the 'coloring' is now outside the lines - worked for the concept, so I left it
It's funny how many times an error turns out to be just the thing you need - experimenting is fun - never know what you will end up with
