- Ran Diana Day's Twirl action. - Applied the Find Edges filter (Multiply blending mode, 100% Opacity). - Took the file into Topaz Studio (Gothic Glean). - Created the frame with Filter Forge (Matching Frame). - Image from Pixabay. I really like the hints of Scottish plaid mixed with pastel colors, Sepiana. |

I could not get any of the actions that I had used before to create a swirl with this image after cropping to a square. Not sure why.  So then I decided to use Tony's written directions....I then duplicated the layer, flipped and merged.  Finally I could see a mask in the swirl so found a woman on StockSolo and gave her a mask.  |

One more before this fun challenge ends...... Once again the actions that I had used before didn't work on my image. Wonder if anyone else has encountered this? Followed Tony's directions. Flipped the twirl horizontal and merged then took it into Topaz Restyle and used Electric Blue Lights Preset. Cropped to a square:   |

One more for me too! My starting image was Helen's flowers with vase. After the first twirls I rotated the image 90 degrees, merged using (I forget which blend mode), then rotated 45 degrees and merged again using some other blend mode. In between, if it gets too blah, I will punch it up using Enhance, Shadows/Highlights and Brightness/Contrast (among others).  |

Thanks to all for playing. Many very impressive spirals/twirls and fascinating to see what some of the starter images turned into and the descriptions of how they were tweaked.
