Looking through some old Elements Village bookmarks I noticed one from 2007 by "Wendy" on "making an orb", Being curious, I tried it and came up with this image.
Anyone want to guess what the original image was; or post your own "Orb" for us to guess at? Might be fun.

I can't find the instructions ... it was Betty that first posted them and I just converted them into an
action. I have sorted it out so
Try this:
Open up any image but make sure that it is only one layer
then crop it inot a square ..
Filter>Distort>Polar Co-ordinates>Polar to Rectangular
Image>Rotate>Flip Horizontal
Image>Rotate>Flip Vertical
Filter>Distort>Polar Co-ordinates:>Rectangular to Polar
... and there you go
Its pretty quick and easy to do ... and the action just automated it.
