I hope you like them Jackie. Some of the brushes in particular work better with a pressure sensitive pen drawing tablet. I have an old wacom one but the pressure sensitivity on it isn’t very good. Like all technology I think things in that field have progressed over the years. Looking into it I discovered that the some of the newer pen tablets come with not only a higher sensitivity range but the pen sensitivity also works now if held at a 60% tilt which is not the case with my old wacom.
So having done a bit of research and not wanting to spend a fortune on something I might end up not using I have purchased a brand I hadn’t heard of before - Ugee S640. I think it’s their smallest model and seeing some YouTube videos showing it in use I thought it looked quite good...time will tell I guess. Plenty of practice will be needed but onward and upward...lol.
NOTE: One thing I would say about any of these drawing tablets - unless you are someone who is used to drawing or painting and like to use BIG sweeping movements/strokes - then I would say, at least for your first one, stick to the smaller tablet. It might surprise you just how far you have to move your pen to make your desired mark or paint stroke. Fortunately for most if not all of them, in the driver settings you can set the actual active area on the tablet to work on which makes it a bit easier.

Was thinking they would be good for your watercolors, Jacki. Will be watching to see what you ladies come up with. Always nice to try something new.

Lillias, I have been using my small Wacom tablet and pen now for awhile, no more mouse for me. It does have pressure sensitivity and that is fun to play with, hope your new set-up works out well for you. The new watercolour brushes are great, there’s a lot to play with, hope to make some colour washes of my own, both with the brushes and watercolour paints. My son has given me his gaming pc, has a lot more RAM than my old machine, Photoshop runs a lot smoother now, along with all my other programs, I have no excuses now for not being more productive.... I still have some issues to work out, like how colours are displayed, hopefully someone will let me know if they think something looks off.
