Anyone care to guess? Should be fairly easy. (Whole picture will be revealed if/when someone figures it out).

turkey or parrot neck area? Yay Jacki! It's a gobbler. Clive came in a close second. I call it "In the Eye of the "Hurricane".

I call it "In the Eye of the Storm"
Did you snap the picture before or after getting flogged ? If you are ever flogged by a Turkey (or Goose), you will think you are in the eye of a storm.

Oh dear, much too late to the party, but "turkey" was my first very assured guess on seeing your image Jim . We have many of them wandering by our window every day that it was an easy ID for me! I have come to see them as very beautiful and proud birds.
A very nice framing via the texture.

Actually, I've heard of noodling a goose but not turkey flogging. Glad it was all flogged out by the time I shot the photo. I shot it with my lens peeking between a small gap in its wire fence cage which is why I couldn't get the whole turkey in the frame.

It is wise to always keep a fence between one's self and a turkey or barnyard goose and most roosters --- and always carry a club (there is just a certain satisfaction in getting a good knock in on a flogging fowl). Although a turkey is usually the larger and can knock one around more easily, of the three, the goose is most apt to bring blood and inflict damage as they bite and can tear out chunks of flesh. When it comes to flogging fowl, I am in agreement with Ruby Thewes.

The funny thing is that the only time I was ever bitten by an animal was as a child when a small Mexican Chihuahua dog ran out and bit me. Watch out for those small dogs!
