I tried to scraplift an idea from a Digital Scrapper post, but found the ribbons were difficult to create, so they weren't much of an addition to the page - they really need texture or outlining or somethingphotos: personalsome elements by Rosie three background papers blended together ribbons created using Filter> Distort> Shear

Love it, great placement of the main photo, looks very inviting, I quite like the coloured ribbons to divide the page, what did you do to create them? I see things on other's pages and try to make elements of my own, not always successfully... sometimes end up photographing what I need and then extract it for later use.

Jacki - I used Shear - You can do this on ready-made ribbons, too. I turn them vertical and shear them. When you make your ribbon, before shearing is a good time to add texture or outline them - to make them more 'ribbon looking' I was concentrating on waving them and didn't do anything to make them more ribbon-y I was trying to duplicate the scraplift, but I was nowhere near successful. And, no matter what I did in the way of layer styles, I couldn't make the ribbons stand out from each other.
