Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTE
This week's theme was a joint suggestion by Dennis, Brenda, and Matthew -- dennis9. (Thanks, Dennis, Brenda, and Matthew!)

Great fun for youngsters of any age, just sitting at opposite ends of the see-saw, rocking the time away. i.ibb.co/c8J4tbp/S.jpgBrenda

Well as I always think of this as my "Monday" challenge I have been thinking of this on and off all day. I had a neighbor who needed some help today.....I wasn't expecting to find my picture there......but she had this vase of hydrangeas that had died. I took a quick picture to pair with the "live" ones that my daughter brought me yesterday. Not sure if this is exactly what is wanted for this challenge as they are two separate pictures unlike the great shot above by Brenda where she captures the opposites in one picture. I will be on the lookout for a similar opportunity.

Used my iPhone 8 to try a silly way of illustrating the theme. Did combine and crop to get just one photo. Would remove background by some means be easy way to balance exposure? cjt

Unfortunately, these were too far apart for me to get them in the same shot. As different as -

Along a trail this morning - sign indicating same trail in opposite directions (fortunately I have the map) And in town the decorations on opposite sides of the lampposts - official flower colours this year are red and white so opposite colours on opposite sides! Tony

Out today I managed to find a few where the opposites are within the same image. Horse heads on the gate posts looking in opposite direction.
Front and back tires.......full and flat. Directional arrows pointing in opposite directions.

Well this is a bit of a contradiction. There are two species of grass in the road allowance. Their seed heads are two colors that are complementary. They are so because they are opposites on the color wheel. The seed heads are sort of a purple-mauve and yellowy: opposites, yet complementary. July 6, 2022.

Opposite sides of a Sculpture in a new small park I went to today. Unfortunately, one was in sun, the other in shade. The writing on the front side, says - Bishy Park. (Short for Bishopton).

Spotted these turtles sunbathing at opposite ends of a log today. Two steps closer and they were gone. Tony

High and Low Art Gallery. Buy high, sell low. ;=) Thanks for the theme Dennis, Brenda, and Matthew, and thanks Sepiana for wrangling it all!

Great fun for youngsters of any age, just sitting at opposite ends of the see-saw, rocking the time away. Brenda Brenda, great finding! Opposites that are fun and make us smile (with the addition of the mature person vs the youngsters on the see-saw).

From the middle of the path, looking in OPPOSITE directions. Dennis Dennis, very clever interpretation of opposites. The leading lines of the path and the flower beds emphasize the opposite directions.
