I have been playing with this app recently, so much fun and so much to learn. I can see it becoming an obsession, even though I know it's not my art to claim, I have only supplied the idea and let the bot do the imagery. This one was generated with the words - secret fairy place.  |

I too saw it in the FB page, so of course I jumped right in, but then had to watch a few videos to see how the magic happens. Quite extraordinary results in a lot of them, I could play for hours. The free trial only allows you to generate 25 images, so after a few more lessons and experiments I may have to start a subscription... |

I tried to generate a little fairy to go in the scene, but the results were a little weird, wings coming out from the head and only one leg or legless altogether.
Definitely a work in progress.

Jacki. I had never heard of A1, until I saw this thread. But all the searches I tried say that it can't be used on a desktop computer - only mobile, android, or lap top.  |

I'm using it on my desktop, you have to go through another app called Discord, then you can access the midjourney app through that website. |

Jacki, did you get an invitation to join that group? I couldn't find a way to get the software or play with it online. It was very confusing! And I am a member of Discord.

Vicki, I think you have to sign up for MidJourney and then link that to the Discord platform, I had a younger member of the family helping, lol, amazed that I even had heard of Discord. How long ago did you try, I think in the early days you had to get an invitation to join, I didn’t need one when I did it 2 days ago. |

I can see this as a way to generate elements for other composites!
Oops...found it and it's beyond my feeble mind's ability to understand the steps and how to generate images. The directions are not really helpful. I think I'll just go back to stock images! LOL

Maybe I’m just a dinosaur but this app is not for me. I don’t particularly like where AI is taking us as I see it. However for those interested if you look at this video from Unmesh Dinda - PIXimperfect it might help you a bit with understanding how it works. Midjourney AI Art |

Don't give up Vicki, I started with very uncomplicated prompts and like you see it as a way to make my own elements to use in my scrapbooking pages and composites. There's a lady on FB doing amazing composites, Tara Mapes. She combines real models with the AI generated images and photoshops them into breathtakingly beautiful images. Watch all the youtube videos you can, there are plenty out there and you will see how to start an image and the prompts to use to help you get what you want. Good Luck and have fun, it's very addictive. |

I used the prompts - santa claus with reindeer on a desert island - this is what I got, LOL, could be manipulated to make this year's xmas cards....  |
