I finally carved out some time to work on this challenge. Tony said that this works well with colorful photos, so since it's almost pumpkin time, I thought I'd use one of my fall photos.
My steps and settings were: Copied background layer and opened Filter Gallery --Poster Edges: Edge Thickness – 6; Edge Intensity – 4; Posterization – 1 --Fresco: Brush Size – 6; Brush Detail – 9; Texture – 1 --Accented Edges: Edge Width – 4; Edge Brightness – 28; Smoothness – 6 Brought in a texture (2LO Spiced Autumn 5) and dragged below Layer 1 Added a layer mask and used 2LO Black Mask 23 to mask out the edges Then, added a brightness/contrast adjustment layer to brighten a bit Original:

Those pumpkins certainly make a good subject and the result is a fascinating pattern. Was at a farm shop yesterday and wished I had a camera with me as they'd just put out the gourds and pumpkins - they'll be around for a while though so I'll try to remember to add to my fall collection next visit.
