I don’t often work with photos other than in context with scrapbook pages, but when it comes to scrapbook pages, journaling is not necessary, but a title sure is. My titles are often silly or off the wall. Whatever pops into my head — and then I design a page to fit the title

Interesting comment, Janice....... and then I design a page to fit the title It reminds me of challenges that I've taken part in where you are given a song title, phrase, book title etc. and your task is to post an image that is representative of the prompt. |

I like humorous titles, or sometimes misleading ones where what is posted is a twist on the meaning of the title, hope all that makes sense😳
Sometimes the title even matches the image! Half the fun is coming up with an interesting title.

amazingly, the city where this photo was taken was voted to have 'the best water' I guess we didn't agree - it was the only house where we had a water cooler for drinking water fun fact - A gallon of water weighs about 3.79 kilograms (8.35 pounds) I can't believe we lifted over 40 lbs when it came time to change the bottles Usually didn't spill, but every once in a while you would lose control while tipping it upside down They improved it by making 3 gallon jugs and by having a seal that would break as you put it on the dispenser so spilling was no longer a problem - but, alas, that was way after we had moved.  |

ok I lied but this is the last one - even if I have to tie my hands behind my back Flamingos get their pink color from their food
Flamingos are filter feeders and turn their heads “upside down” to eat
A group of flamingos is called a flamboyance

Helen, great topic for discussion. Janice, I love all the examples you showed us here...absolutely great titles. As for me, it really depends on my mood and how the photo dictates its title...I'm fond of single-word titles, like "Soaring" for a photo of birds in flight. But not always...sometimes I try for something clever (not that I'm THAT clever)... I kinda liked my title for this image: The Horse Knows the Way I rarely go for humor in my titles, though. And, sometimes, I just name it what it is! |

Great pages Janice and nice examples for titles. You should give serious thought to creating your own gallery on the forum here. It would be nice to see your pages all in one place like that...Just sayin'  |
