This is a nine-shot grid composite stitched with MS ICE. I was driving with my long lens on and seeing occasional birds so did not want to change lenses, thus the grid composite. Just an old barn, some straw bales, then cattle grazing in tame pasture and native grass on the horizon. The imgbb image is 4,170 X 4,170 pixels square.

This is a nine-shot grid composite You are so good about creating composites when you don't' have the right lens for the job. Such a peaceful scene...I could get lost in it.

So much depth, love how the light catches the bales.

You are so good about creating composites when you don't' have the right lens for the job. Thanks Helen. The software does the hard work. However ... see note below. So much depth, love how the light catches the bales. Thank Jacki. I've done a few scenes with a longer lens (the images here would have been taken at 200 mm focal length) and they seem to be "better" than those taken with a wide-angle lens. One thing for certain is if I wanted to make a huge print, I'd do it this way (multi shots) vs a single frame. This was created from nine (odd?) photos that were basically 2 wide and 4 high, plus a random one. When stitched full size the image was 98 MP but had ragged edges. When cropped it was still 71 MP. The distant cattle were still quite crisp. Last winter, I made a winter scene from 62 60 images. A bit crazy but it was nice.

Such a peaceful scene...I could get lost in it. It is a pretty part of the world. Don't let that old barn fool you, there are some large and upscale ranches here....worth millions. Most have been in the family for generations and would not be for sale. HA! Like I could afford one! I wish that I had photographed one of the ranch houses near where this was taken....the stuff of movies. County roads meander up through the Porcupine Hills and the scenery is nice and on a clear day can see forever. A good part of the universe.

Maybe, but it has beautiful old wood that can be appreciated when I enlarged the image twice. The entire scene is pleasingly composed and definitely very pastoral.
