I is for IndigoAnd what better way than to start the day with the beautiful indigo color in the sky just before sunrise. Helen, beautiful image. Mother Nature put up quite a show and you captured it.

These Iron gates are embellished by an Image of our late Queen, whose funeral took place today. Dennis Dennis, a very poignant image and one of historical significance. Save it for posterity!

I is for Iconic. At least for Canadians the red maple leaf counts as iconic and am visiting the Algonquin area which is notable for the fall colours. They are only just starting here this year, but the maples are rapidly turning red so couldn't resist this pic of a red maple leaf on lichen growing on what was probably a fallen maple tree. Tony, a simplistic composition yet visually appealing. The red maple leaf is the star of the show. Three Impressive Inukshuks guarding the beach at a lake. Great composition -- elements of visual interest throughout the image.

I in my book stands for Ice cream, so I headed into the the industrial part of town to the nerve center of Ice Cream Express, the distribution outlet for all things ice cream in Portland. If you're buying ice cream from a truck, at a convenience store or at the ball game you can be pretty sure that it passed through this point. Kind of inspirational really. At first glance the neighborhood appears a tad scruffy, but some of the graffiti is self-imposed and ice cream related. Thanks for the theme Sepiana! Bill, you took I to another level with these three images. I keep going back to them to check all the details. Beautiful grungy look!

Jim, great shooting angle -- the ivy-covered wall coming from the corner of the frame. It's like an invitation for the viewers to follow the I.
