Lyrics are from September Song by Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson, 1938. Leaves have held on well this year but getting thin and we are likely to get some snow over the weekend. The larger trees are getting sparse. Our Virginia creepers are amazing. There are also photos of red osier dogwood leaves, cedars, amur maples leaves and, yes, a miniature rose is still blooming near the house. This is sized to 4K wide, so it will likely read better full size.

Aww, thanks Helen. The leaves are so pretty this year. There have only been 2 or 3 light frosts so far. So far. Clive This might be white in Sunday...shall see.

Gorgeous Clive. Love the variety of autumn colours in your photos and the way you have arranged them on your page. Great song to illustrate them too.

Clive, you have made such a beautiful page, the images all work so well together and I love your blurry autumnal background. How considerate of the leaves to hang around in all their glory and colourful displays.

Thank you for all of your supportive comments. I am happy that I photographed the colors yesterday. It is dreary here and raining today and probably snow overnight. Yes, the lyrics are cool and I like Willie Nelson's version. Hundreds have likely recorded it. jackscrap said, "I love your blurry autumnal background." Thanks Jacki. I just used one of the dogwood photos (not sure of it was this one); selected a part and used Gaussian blur to my satisfaction. Think I cloned over a couple of wayward portions of the blurred version.
