I have just now changed the names of the images in my spider thread and uploaded them in a NEW THREAD with a different title.
Although I changed the file names, when imgbb uploaded them and listed them in the new thread, they had exactly the same names as the originals, as if I had not changed a thing.
When I previewed my new post, no matter what I tried, I always got the little squares.
I saw no need in submitting it as I figured if it doesn't work in Preview, then it isn't going to work in a post.
I E-Mailed the exact same images to some friends and they had no trouble viewing them.

Thanks for trying to troubleshoot on this BuckSkin. Tpgettys thinks this is beyond our control at this point. So going forward it would probably be most helpful if members share any positive changes they see.....seeing images that hadn't been visible to them since this started.

For what it's worth generally I'm seeing images on the forum although I don't see Buckskins spiders. What in many cases I can't see are the originals uploaded to Imgbb - when I click on the thumbnail in the post in some cases I see the original but in other cases I get a blank screen with just a file name but I've also see other messages. With Helen's Halloween Bonanza pics I see all the forum images. If I click on the first one I see the original no problem (it's a 2048x1263 3MB and the image link is ibb.co/h2s0Fx4 ).) However with the subsequent images I see the thumbnails but when I click on them to get at the originals I get a brief flash of the image but then it goes to a blank screen with just the file name and the small square. Here's the direct link to IMG-4774-E as an example where I get that second behaviour ibb.co/F7YLTpT . I'd be interested to know if others see the same thing at those links. I do wonder if the issue is related to the size of the original image as my impression has been that the ones that appear to behave as expected appear to be smaller images in terms of the pixel dimensions. For what it's worth, all of my images are 2048 long side or less.

I don't know if you would call this progress but I can now see the big blue boxes saying 'image not found' for the uploads by Jim and Vicki in their Galleries and in the Latest Gallery Uploads Posts thread. Hopefully the images themselves will appear soon.

Things do seem to have changed as I am seeing Buckskins newly posted spiders. But I’m now seeing the Image not found message when clicking on other image thumbnails that previously showed a filename. So hopefully new uploads are going to work now although some posted during the outage may have been lost.

It has been my experience that, if you have the little boxes displaying as we first had, it is useless to repost the images; but, once the little boxes are replaced by the bigger blue boxes, then, to get the images to display, you are going to have to edit your posts, deleting the old and re-uploading all over again.
I don't think waiting will help, but I could be wrong.

Since we don't have a way of knowing what is going on on imgbb.com it is hard to say, but I feel like BuckSkin is correct.

Tony While I have always sized my images to fit between 2048x2048px. without a problem, it seems that making them smaller would be helpful as this situation continues. I did just use a smaller ratio but it still took longer than I want to wait. I'm now thinking of trying 900x900px. Thoughts?

Personally I think the problem lies firmly with imgbb. I could be wrong but I don’t think size really enters into this...for example my page - Winter Magic - is only 700px700px and while some people could see it others couldn’t!

Personally I think the problem lies firmly with imgbb. I could be wrong but I don’t think size really enters I agree with the problem being with the plug-in. I am just wondering if using smaller sized files might help the wait time before they are displayed. It seemed to with the two images loaded below.... Fit between 1080x1080px. Fit between 900x900px.
