Nice to have deer around your house. Do you have a 7-ft tall fence around your garden, if you grow a garden. They sure are more active in low light.

Do you have a 7-ft tall fence around your garden My wife and gardens don't do very well together so years ago we decided the people at Kroger and Save-a-Lot were doing a much better job than we were and haven't wasted fuel plowing and then bush-hogging down the mess since.
Like most all non-gardeners around here, I bet I toss a dump-truck load of vegetables in the woods that people who do garden have forced upon us; they insist on us (and everyone else they know) taking enough to feed a division and more; we eat what we can of it and the rest (most of it) rots in the woods, so we really don't miss a garden.
I don't see how these people that set up beside the road and in town could have much business on account of all the ones who give their stuff away.
I hear a vehicle in the drive, peep out the door as they are leaving, and there will be two or three Walmart sacks full of garden stuff laying on the porch; come home from being gone somewhere and there will be sacks hanging on the doorknob; people load the wife down wherever she might be.
They sure are more active in low light.
Yes they are; they are most likely to show up when it is light enough to see them, but really too dark for photos, especially good photos.
Occasionally, I will see them earlier in the day, but not very often and almost always when I am on a mission and the camera is in the house.
