I like this guy's videos and while perhaps he labours the point a little here, its something I am guilty of ...always waiting for the next trip and struggling to be inspired by the everyday. Having said that, I think there are many great examples on this forum of seeing what's around you.

And I'm not sure why he never thought to photograph the water tower, it's such an interesting building.

Terrific video, Howard ! Photographing the "everyday" was actually the reason for starting Today's Picture. We had a member who was fairly active for awhile (phildc) who inspired us to take notice of those everyday things that we often tend to miss. A good reminder to once again try to notice those things that often escape our attention.
