This never happened in Windows 7 but occurrs frequently in 10. The Polygonal Lassoo is the only tool I use for selection purposes and it's reached the point where it invariably closes prematurely or won't even start. Googling reveals this is not uncommon with a long history and, of course, Adobe just smiles and rechecks its bottom line. Nobody seems to have a definitive fix - several say graphics driver and others 'reset your preferences', nothing's worked yet for me so your thoughts would be welcome.

olderndirt, I was visiting this thread and two thoughts came to mind. First, are you using a mouse or a Wacom tablet? There have been reports of the problem you describe when one is using such a tablet. Second, could it be related to PSE settings (RAM, History States, cache levels, etc.?).
