Please excuse me if this question or something similar has already been asked. I really would like to leave the Adobe CC Photography plan which is paid monthly. I would prefer to start using PSE2020, and probably later versions, for all my editing and library/organisation needs. I have around 17k of photos in LR. What are going to be possible issues for me in doing this? I suppose one is that I will probably lose my LR edits? Are all my existing original unedited images in my Pictures folder on my Mac desktop? Any advice or suggestions or thoughts from you all will be most welcome and thank you very much in advance. Regards from Phil.

That’s interesting as I didn’t realise that this would happen. Thank you so much once again. I assumed that I would be uninstalling LR and PS as they wouldn’t be needed and this would free up some storage space on my computer. Maybe not after all 🤔

Maybe not after all 🤔 For what it is worth, most programs don't take hardly any "space" at all by just being installed; a couple of multi-layered PSD image files can easily exceed the amount of storage that most programs will occupy. Having infrequently used programs installed used to be a concern back in the days of 16-GB hard-drives, but with today's 240-GB and often much larger drives, having numerous installed programs is hardly an issue at all.

I am using PSE 2020 and the stand alone LR6. If you are interested in more tools for PS Elements you might consider getting the Elements + (plus) plug in or the Elements XXL plug in.
Also PSE 2021 is due to be released around October so you might consider delaying before purchasing to see if the 2021 version has something better to offer.
Kind regards Chris
PS LR6 cannot import a catalogue from a later version. OnOne evidently can import LR catalogues if you want to check out a trial version.

I do have Elements+ and also LR6 too. When I finally leave the CC plan it looks like I could still use LR Classic library If needed but why would I? Looked at PSE 2021 but not sure if it’s worth my while upgrading as I usually upgrade every other year but this version seems to include cloud storage, which might be useful if I can store all my PSE files there for no extra cost but can’t believe that Adobe would let that happen.
