Many thanks, that sounds like the solution. It is on transparent background designed for four sections of same photo. Will check it out - leaving for Dubai and South Africa in an hour. Looking forward to great photos to work on. Jean

Not a screen shot, but hope it works. This was one of Kev's templates from a long time ago. Wonder what happened to him?

I have a template from many years ago created by Kev in England. It is a four part wavy template. But I have forgotten how to use it. Can someone help.

What is the email link you mention. I've never received that and my subscription has not expired yet.

I have used PSE since 2; now use PSE5.0 predominantly. The reason I upgrade is that many of the plug ins, i.e. Topaz, only work on the newer versions; also Panos is now making actions for PSE 11 and newer. Even if you dont use PSE 12 or 13 consider them for the actions. BTW I have 5.0, 8.0 and 11 on the same computer, no worries.

I think I did it. This is for a coffee cup. First I used the lasso to get an irregular shape; then used the smudge tool to bring out parts of the background, then the dodge to lighten it. Many thanks for the help.

Sepiana: I knew you would come through: but that is not the tutorial. The Toucan stays sharp and the background smudges and you can pull the back ground. Here is what I have : If you have trouble with the little pointed or curly things, you get them by lifting your mouse and retracing the same path over and over. If you want to introduce another color for a marble effect just start at a different spot and drag across a new color into the path you just left or made". that is all I have as a tutorial. Perhaps if I smudge the whole background, then drag out??? I have Topaz plug ins but not the two you mention. Havent dont much photo editing lately, but going to South Africa in two months so looking forward to working on hundreds of photos then.
