Hey Chris, thanks for posting this. I've been looking all over for the old Elements Village link to making these tutorials. There was also another tutorial on line involving (I think) a black and red gradient, but for the life of me I can't find it. I'm finding these gradients can add really interesting effects to making textured backgrounds.

I am new to Flickr and have created an account. When I upload from Flickr almost all the time, I get a screen saying they are having difficulties. I also have something that suggests I install a Flickr Updater for Windows and it has a tag that says BETA on it.
Should I be downloading this updater? I'm a bit paranoid now after my webcam (which I didn't even know I had) was hacked and something was spying on me!!!

Once upon a time there was a old girl, who was definitely NOT a princess, who lived on an Island in Victoria, BC Canada, and it just drove her crazzzy to have to take a ferry to get on and off this island! She moved to a mirrorless Olympic OMD camera (at the recommendation of Sir Ivor) and she loves traipsing through the forest and along the beach in her camouflauge hoodie to catch any creatures who might want their photo taken (or not). At one point in her life this definitely-not princess was obsessed with the the third great Canadian sport of curling (behind hockey and lacrosse) and hooked up with a team who became her best friends on the way to a few world championships and a proud spot in the Cdn Curling hall of fame. .....that sport was too darn cold, so she gave it up and became a not-very good golfer. She has a son who lives 1000 km away from her and she sighs regularly about that.....and she loves to tend her garden and is a procrastinator-extraordinaire at finishing quilts, cards and scrapbook pages. ....the End .....and the Beginning

Hey Ron, are you using CubeUpload? I use the hit and miss method of copying direct links and embedded links, mixing and matching and hoping they work. I would sure like a "cheat sheet" for loading from CubeUpload. The one in FAQ doesn't seem to work consistently.
Yikes........you're driving on the wrong side of the road!!!!

I went there and it appeared for 2 seconds and then went to the ad company, so it looks like it has been hijacked. Sheesh, I just had someone hack my VISA and charge $5,000 (Cdn) - I think it had to be the computer because I have my credit card in one of those RFID sleeves. .....right out of an episode of CSI Cyber!!!! , but luckily for me I haven't been murdered yet, so they can't make an episode out of my plight......

Judy, both your links worked perfectly. I was able to view your gallery (nice!). Sue, when I clicked on your link it took me to the Yahoo sign-up page again.............so you probably have to change a setting somewhere......

I am interested in the answer to this because I don't have Flickr/Yahoo account and was considering joining Flickr as they seem to provide so much free storage and I am looking for somewhere to store my images. I set up a blog on WordPress, but haven't been very successful at "blogging". I won't set up a Flickr Gallery if others without Yahoo can't see it. I ran into this problem with Dropbox. I recall one of our members at Elements Village saying that those people without Dropbox could not see the dropbox images.
...so if you can shed a light on this, it would be much appreciated.

This has been an interesting exercise. I had to go searching for fonts that would work for an overlay.....and then I had to go find my dictionary, which included some Latin letters (i.e. upside down e) that I could not find in a font. I added a Perfect Effects border. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I have Elements and I use Topaz (Adjust, Clarity, Restyle, DeNoise, Impressions, Lens Effects, Glow and Star Effects), Perfect Effects and Perfect Resize.
I shoot in raw and must process my raw files through Elements first. Organizer is getting better, but I would prefer better ways to show and move my images.

Well I'm not a lemming, ...more like that nuisance the Canada Goose, and I fly off the cliff! I use Perfect Effects a lot. I love the Sharpening - Fix Focus and Amazing Detail Finder. I also use the borders and textures to create texture backgrounds. I sometimes use Perfect Resize, but haven't really used the other stuff.
I haven't noticed any changes with the update, but I haven't really taken time to figure out how to use PEffect in depth. I guess I have the goose's attention span!
