So here is a short video clip so maybe you can see something. This is my workflow through the process. Three images called 1 jpg 2 jpg 3 jpg I plan to copy 3 jpg onto 1 jph Select move tool. Left mouse click & selct the image & with my left mouse button held down i move to the tab & over 1 jpg All the time with my left mouse button still down Now my understand in that the tab for 1 jpg at this point should be selected as in change colour etc BUT as you can see nothing changes & the tab 3 jpg still has the focus on it. Its only when i release the left mouse button that the focus is then on 1 jpg Looking at the tab image 1 jpg there is still only 1 jpg in the layers column etc. www.mediafire.com/file/6ajbgqopletf37d/ScreenCaptureProject1.mp4/file

I don’t see any issue with regards how hard you say it is.
My problem & not been answered yet is, Why when I Hoover o W the tab I wish to place my photo does the tab NOT even highlight etc ? If the tab doesn’t highlight to advise the user it’s now selected etc then something is wrong.
It is this wrong piece I need to work out.
I have also mentioned but nobody has replied in using team viewer to YOU the group member to carry out this procedure on MY pc.
You will then see that what you are able to do on your system you can’t on mine.

I am using a mouse.
I am convinced I’m doing it correct as it can’t be that hard.
As a test would you like to pair with my pc & try it.
This would then rule out user error.

Ok The image I have next to my photos are like what you have next to the background image.
I’m 100% sure I’m doing this correct as the video is so basic I can’t see where if any I’m doing wrong.
So two questions for you. 1; Are you able to do the same as in the video ? 2, Anybody use TeamViewer. I mean you connect to my pc and try it.

Are you working on three of the same type of images - i.e. JPG or Raw? Are all of the images a Background Layers or Layers? Are any of the Images LOCKED? Three photos are the same extension. They show they are locked BUT in the video his are also locked.

That is correct and when you move over the tab for the image you wish to place this photo it should highlight / select it etc.
But it doesn’t. So I’m still then on the tabbed image I first selected.

I think your getting confused. I am doing EXACTLY as in video. I select the image I wish to place onto the other. I select the move tool. I then drag to the first tab.
STOP
At this point my tab should change colour etc to show its selected but it doesn’t. This is the issue.

FYI without me selecting any image but just moving my cursor over each image tab the tab then shows that you are over it etc.
If i select the image then do the same they never change at all

Im doint it correct BUT its just not doing anything.
I select the second image. In the photo bin the correct image is shown with a blue border. With my left mouse button down & the move tool selected i move the curcor over to the first image tab. Now at this point in the video his photo tabe switches from the previous image to the image he is going to drop it on and create the layer. My tab never gets selected at all

Also ive noticed that not only do i not see the circle around the cursor i see in his video that when he drags the photo over the first photo that first photo tab is selected & when he lets go the layer is shown on the right.
I never get that far as im always still on the second image. I never see the first tab selected.
Is my photo even beeing selected ?

Hi, Im following this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml13ZCHrvs4&t=11sI have 3 photos and the second has been selected & you then drop it onto the first photo tab. This is where i fail as in the video it creates a layer BUT mine didnt do that or anything in fact ?
