Thanks for that tomorrow I will take a look. Before I switched pc off I did reset the tool & Normal then appeared.
I don’t see soft brush so I might reinstall the software.
Whilst I’m here what is this process called so I can watch some videos

Can’t remember the name of this process so please advise
I have a photo of a man with his arms crossed, Also a photo of a baby.
I’m thinking of making it look as if the man is holding the baby so half of the baby must be behind his crossed arms etc.
Do I create a layer and place the baby in between original & layer then use eraser on layer ?
I’m asking now as tomorrow I will forget

I remembered that i upgraded myself PSE9 to PSE12 Recently i wanted to use the Magic Eraser & having watched a few vidoes it was time to also install PSE9 My question is that in PSE 12 there is a file which when used opens up the editor & away you go. In PSE9 you have to click on Edit to go to the editor OR there is a drop down where you can select to open editor as the default so this is what ive done as i dont want to be having to click edit every time. Having said that when the editor opens i still see the same screen within editor thus still having to click on it first. See attached image please

I have been watching a video where the user has PE9 & is using Magic Extractor. Using one tool he selects what he want's to keep then another tool to select what he want's to remove etc. He then saves the file & imports the image into his workpiece.
What is the tool in PSE12 that will do this as i dont see MAGIC EXTRACTOR
Thanks

And what is the size of the template that you created? How would I know that ? I have 2 files. Watermark & image. I open the psd & import watermark. I then make a layer like advised in an early reply. I then place image that I need to watermark. Then save as jpg So please advise how to find the Answer to your question.

Reading your workflow it raises a few questions. What is 2.jpg tag? What do you mean by container? As you are on a Win 7 machine - what version of elements are you using? Is there any reason your never created a PSD file with your watermark and a Blank file under it. One you have the PSD file open you use - select the place image layer and go to File>Place to place your image in and then save it as a jpg file. This sounds like it but blank file under watermark, please advise steps
