Always nice to have a snow overlay....especially at this time of year, Frank. Placed it over one of my images with a darkened sky that I thought might work with snow that was just beginning to fall.

This is a lovely way to add snow to an image, Frank! Here's my result... Church Street, Burlington, VT
I love the way it turned out, but had a problem with the following:
8. Select Layer 1 Copy and flip it Horizontal. a. Go to Image>Rotate>Flip Layer Horizontal.
9. Create larger snow flakes. a. Go to Filter>Pixelate>Crystalize with a setting of 10. b. Click OK.
I wasn't sure if I should create a new layer in Step 9...it wasn't clear to me where I should be creating these larger snow flakes. I ended up using the previous layer from Step 8 to do it, but suspect I should have created a new layer in Step 9...
Can you clear this up for me?

Step 7 duplicates the layer (Layer ons Copy). Step 8 Flips it. Step 9 makes the larger snow flakes.
The layer stack shown is the final as stated.

I used a picture from files taken during a big snow storm in 2019. Although it was snowing at the time it didn't show up on the original so this helped make it look more authentic. Tony

I guess I was just tired when I was trying it. I managed to use your instructions and kinda did what you said. AND I'm satisfied with my result, so it was successful, Frank! Thanks so much!!!
