I wanted to create a travel brochure for the EP Challenge. I am baffled as to how to make the binding look realistic. Here is a link to the layers if that would be an easier way to explain what I need to do.

I suggest a template. In searching, I have found many free templates, for everything from a pamphlet to a hard cover book. Only problem is - I have no info on safety of downloads from unfamiliar sites. I suggest finding a template you like and then do a search as to reviews of the website itself. Realize not all templates are created equal. Some just are too difficult to work with. The only thing you can do is try.

Frank - that is a nice template. I have one suggestion, though. Use Transform/Skew on the photo to change perspective on the top right edge. Edge of tower should align with edge of book

If looking for a template I would suggest going to Rawpixel.com, Register for an account. Once registered click on the FREE button along the top of the site and in the search free images area type ‘book mockup psd’ (be sure to add the psd part to the search) otherwise all you will get will be flattened images then press enter and you will be presented with a selection of different mockups. Click on one you like and download page will pop up. Make sure to choose the PSD rather than the JPEG option and click on the Free Download button. Once downloaded you can open the PSD and take it from there. I have no affiliation with this site but have used it many times without any problem. You are allowed 5 free downloads per day.

Thanks for taking the time to create your book design, fotofrank . It looks very realistic. cats4jan ......I had noticed the perspective wasn't right on the tower. I could overlook that but what bothered me was the left edge of my "brochure". I had thought that adding a gradient or shadow or "something" might give it a bit of dimension. I just played with it a bit again and while it's not perfect it is a little better I think. And what a difference a day makes.......something that was important to me yesterday doesn't seem all that important today. I am going to just add what I have come up with this morning. I added a thin dark line to the edge of the fold (better word than binding!) and a thin white line to the front. No one but me may even notice the difference! EDIT.....just saw your post, Lillias. I will tuck that away for the next time I try something like this.

Perspective is the most difficult aspect of creating something like this. That’s why I so appreciate the Transform Tool’s Skew option.
