An old tree in the river valley. This would have been a plains cottonwood and probably fell over 50+ years ago.
Thanks to tourerjim , Lillias and fotofrank for their input about layer masks.

~~EDIT: I am not going to, but I should go back to the PSD with the layer mask and clean up (harder black brush) the edges of the vertical tree limb. Oh well.~~
