I tried the tutorial that I found and listed in an earlier post. Basically it took 5 steps to accomplish the effect and then I tweaked the image by brightening the eyes; burning the wrinkles; dodging the facial highlights and finally using high pass (inverted) at low opacity to soften the overall effect.  |

Helen, that house looks so much better and more grungy with the effect applied!

Yep, this effect was pretty clearly targeting portraits, but certainly can be used to achieve other results, as we have seen.

Sorry this is so late...thanks to all who participated in my first Creative Effects Challenge. I loved seeing what you all were able to create using the Dragan Effect and, most of all, I loved that you all joined in! This was fun and I hope to be able to present another challenge that has such great results! You are all so talented and it shows in these challenges. Thanks again for playing along.  |
