Hi everyone, Replacing backgrounds is a common technique when creating composites. If you are into creating composites, you may want to check this video by George Peirson. Make a White BackgroundNOTE:Select > Subject was introduced in Elements 2020; this new feature is powered by Adobe Sensei. You just click once and Elements automatically selects the main subject in your image. If Elements is not intelligent enough, you can edit your selection -- Add to selection or Subtract from selection. You can also invoke Select > Refine Edge. Back in Elements 11, Adobe introduced an updated Refine Edge (brought over from Photoshop).
