FYI - Helen expressed interest in Luminosity Masks, so I tried to play with it. If you, (as I do) import your images into Lightroom, If you want to use luminosity masks you need to use the File> Plug In Extras> Perfect Layers 9 route to do this. This is because only Layers has the Duplicate Layer Button needed to use the mask. Although the Luminosity Mask is available in Effects, you can't create a duplicate layer. So Don't use the right Click> Edit In route as Layers is not availabe. You have to go via File plug in extras to get it done. Unless I'm mistaken of course, but I wasted a good two hours to become aware of this and I thought I could save someone a few hours of head scratching. Ron

Well I'm not a lemming, ...more like that nuisance the Canada Goose, and I fly off the cliff! I use Perfect Effects a lot. I love the Sharpening - Fix Focus and Amazing Detail Finder. I also use the borders and textures to create texture backgrounds. I sometimes use Perfect Resize, but haven't really used the other stuff.
I haven't noticed any changes with the update, but I haven't really taken time to figure out how to use PEffect in depth. I guess I have the goose's attention span!

Why didn't I get an email about this update? Where can I go to find out about it? Bayla
I got the e-mail about the update. Just a thought! Did you register your copy of PPS with onOne? I am not sure it matters though. Anyway, just go to the Support page on the onOne site. You will find the link to download this update.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I just realised I don't have PPS 9.....only the free version of Perfect Effects 8!!!!! That explains why no update email. (Do you realise that there is no blushing, embarrassed smiley face on this forum? I got this little fellow from somewhere else but how I miss my little pink bashful smiley from EV!!) Bayla

I have PPSuite8 which I got free awhile back. I was under the impression from this thread that I could also get PPS9 as a free download. What I have got is Perfect Effects9 not Perfect Photo Suite9 . Can someone please set me straight ? Did I download from the wrong place or do I have to pay to get PPS9.? Thanks. Storm I
