... and ends
Sammy was never meant for this world.
I hear they have purchased some smaller swans, so look for the continuing saga.
The duck babies are growing so fast.
It was just last week that I saw the tiniest duckling swimming all by himself. I think he's going to be a handful for mom.
Dad was at the other end of the pool and flew away before I could photograph him.
Kit: Rosie's Designs
The story behind the creation of my page
The background was created by Rosie from 3 different background papers - she added the graphics in the corners. I added another paper on top of the background paper to lessen the strong colors. If you reduce opacity after you stack a background paper onto another background paper, the original one can show through.
Since I could not find frames I wanted to use, and I felt these photos needed framing:
*The frame around the top photos was a box created with the marquee tool and filled in with a solid color, then a background paper was clipped to the rectangle to give it texture -- reduced the opacity to let the solid color show through.
*The frame around the bottom photo was a background paper, recolored and resized to fit the photo.
*Both frames have layer styles - drop shadow and inner glow - as do the photos -- those are my 'go to' layer styles to soften edges, yet provide definition
The sign (or should I say "headstone") was recolored to fit the page. The bird was added because, well, it just seemed to need a bird. I suppose he should've been a duck, but since I was using a seaside kit, he seemed to fit the theme.
The title was a ready-made graphic. I used the pencil tool to draw a line through "seaside" and added the word "pool". I could've recreated the graphic, but I wanted to 'edit' it like this for interest.
The cat graphic is my 2023 “signature” used on all my pages.
Simple Frame Making.
A solid square of color under a photo - instant frame
If you want to be able to add a layer style that affects the inside of the 'frame' as well as the outside - make a selection of your photo - go to the solid color layer and hit delete. You now have a frame. Bring that frame layer above the photo layer and use layer style 'shadow' - it will give your frame depth.
