In the mail today, I got a phone book. The first one in years. The first thing that popped into my mind was 'anachronism'. I've used that word on another layout, but since there isn't a better word to describe this item, I decided to use it again. Look carefully - it says 'the original search engine' on the cover. Too funny. Wish I had thought of it.Photo of phone book was altered to remove the advertising on the cover. The items on this layout were bits and pieces from many kits. |

Gosh, it has been years since we got the last book. Based on your definition, I am an anachronism.  Good idea and well presented. |

Wow. Was it directly from your phone service provider (Century Link?) or a "commercial" phone book that sells ads to make money. Actually, it was both - a book from Century Link and a paid advertising product. The cover had two ads from a lawyer - which I covered up. The inside had paid listings and a few coupons. I assume there is no 'actual' yellow pages (put out by the phone company) as there was in the past. Guess there wouldn't be - there is no main phone service provider anymore so who'd put it out?? |
