	Elements 7 ~~~ 64-bit Windows 7 On a poverty-level Kentucky budget, a 24-exposure roll of film would have two Christmases and a summer vacation on it and we might have to wait another six months before being able to afford developing the film. I still have trouble remembering that it doesn't cost anything to take thousands of pictures; it just almost seems impossible to be true.

Did it back in 2001. jackscrap , I thought the skyrail was a bit pointless and an eyesore to be honest, but the railway is beautiful.

Alas its 2500km from me, so unlikely to get a "Photo of the Day"!

We did this trip in 2016, apparently it's 2950km from Melbourne to Cairns by air. It was a great family holiday and we did a lot, including snorkeling on the Outer Reef of the Great Barrier Reef.
Some photos from the train trip, can't believe I actually found them!!!! FNQ (Far North Queensland) is sugarcane country.

I notice the trestles have wide walkways alongside, something rare if ever in the states; can any ole Tom, Dick, or Alice walk out there and take pictures ?

The trestles alongside the track are only accessible by train and it only stops at certain locations where there are waterfalls etc, so I think in these photos the train is moving and nobody can get off the train. Probably there for track maintenance workers. I have no idea if the area is accessible by hikers on foot, it's very dense rainforest.
