Continuing from my earlier version I decided to try a square crop to focus on the table and lights and remove distractions. Used a combination of generative fill, cloning and spot healing to remove the sign - not quite right around the pocket but it will have to do! Then to balance it out I moved the cue ball to its spot. Oh, I love a square crop and think it does just what you wanted it to, Tony. Great idea to move the cue ball!

Always slow to add new software, I appreciate you sharing what you did with Topaz Photo AI, Frank. I like the tighter crop and the replacement of the sign with the cue ball. It is interesting to note the color variations in the images that have been submitted to this thread so far.

What a fun room! Can't imagine all the work putting in the pleated fabric on walls and ceiling. We have some very good edits of this image.

I agree, kdcintx. It's almost like you don't know where to look first....and that ceiling is amazing. Wonder how they clean it?

I agree, kdcintx . It's almost like you don't know where to look first....and that ceiling is amazing. Wonder how they clean it? The late owner could afford it! I haven't been there but a reverse image search with Google knew exactly where that billiard room is. Tony

I decided to focus on the pool table. Opened in DxO Pure Raw. Moved to PSE where I used ViewPoint to correct perspective. Cropped the image. Removed the sign and cloned in needed table parts. Used Color Range (Elements+) to select highlights Selectively darkened the highlights in the background. applied Nik filters.

It took three men 10 days to cut, pleat and hang the nearly 350 yards of fabric.
It is hung by tension rods along the walls and stapled in various places to the ceiling.
There was enough left to upholster the room’s two sofas.

Nice edit, Pete. After seeing a number of edits, I think I am personally starting to lean towards those that focus on the pool table, rather than illuminating the whole room. I like how you have kept a good part of the room in shadow. I may have to try to do this myself....(if I can get on top of a photo book I'm working on).

Basic RAW development in PhotoLab 6 then cropped and moved to Photoshop 24.5. Adjusted White Balance to remove Color Cast, Applied Topaz Denoise AI and removed clutter using Pshop's new Remove Tool. Enhanced the pool table and overhead lamps using Nik CEPro 5 Darken/Lighten Center filter.

Don't know anything about Photo Lab 6 so it's nice to see that you used that for your start, Pete. The remove tool seems to have done a good job and the darken/lighten center preset really directs our just where you intended. Creates a nice moody image.

Just an observation.....as we try out different methods it is interesting to note the changes in color in the chandeliers.

Just an observation.....as we try out different methods it is interesting to note the changes in color in the chandeliers. Another observation about colour changes. I looked at the many other images online of the same room and the colour of the pool table cloth varies between blue and green. Can’t believe it would have been changed so maybe a white balance or lighting effect? I’ll have to play some more to see what changes it. Green would be the most likely original colour. Tony
