Pete Thanks for the link. I never listened to the podcast, but read some stories. How good is this invention, eh? I found this. In 1990, I bought a new film camera system (a Minolta 8000i, auto focus, 3 fps, auto wind) film camera and three lenses. Big bucks at the time. A couple of months later, the person in the store I purchased it from told me that it would not be long before digital cameras would replace film. WHAT?! I just spent a lot of money and this fancy film and told me it will be obsolete. HA HA! Digital photography is the best thing ever. Thanks for the info.

Clive and Pete Thanks for commenting. It is a great story. Clive Near the end of this interview, the interviewer talks about his father (an aircraft mechanic) when he watched (in 1950s) the first Boeing 707 take off and fly overhead … and then his father said aloud, “they finally got piston engines perfected and now they are obsolete”.

I wonder what Steve thinks is the micro cameras today. My new drone weights 249 grams and the lens is tiny and yet the camera it is 12 MP and image quality is pretty darn good. We owe so much. Nice that Kodak seemingly have him a free rein to explore. The images show that tape recorder. I recall my brother had an "Adam" computer in ca 1981 or so. It used a cassette tape to record info. The kids got a Sony Mavica (?) for their wedding and took 3½-inch discs. Total memory was 1.44 Mb. Now the micro SDs come with up to 1 TB capacity. Moore's Law stuff. then his father said aloud, “they finally got piston engines perfected and now they are obsolete”. Funny.
