Upgraded my computer yesterday to WIN10 and I have 8 gig of ram. Since the upgrade LR has been unresponsive a number of times and I have had to close it down. No data was ever lost. While the memory is sufficient it probably would not hurt doubling it or at least adding 4 gigs.
I'd be interested in the experience of any other users. For what it is worth the upgrade went smoothly though it has already had service patch installed this morning.

I'm not a Lightroom user but I found this Adobe blog which discusses potential compatibility issues. Some suggestions in the blog include not relying on the Win 10 upgrade to provide the latest drivers for video cards etc. and to instead get them from the manufacturer's web site. I'll be waiting until Adobe actually come out and say a product is ready for Win 10 before upgrading to Win 10. Saying they haven't yet found any significant compatibility issues is not really good enough for me.

Joe,
Are you a Creative Cloud subscriber? I have Lightroom CC (and Photoshop CC as well). Adobe has released an update to support Windows 10. Adobe Creative Cloud updated with support for Windows 10, bug fixes
As a side note -- I have not upgraded to Windows 10 yet but a friend of mine has. He is a CC subscriber. I have been checking the performance of Lightroom (and Photoshop) on his computer. No problems whatsoever!

Yes, I am a creative cloud subscriber. I saw the update for Photoshop CC (two so far) but nothing for LR CC.

Joe, I got an update for Lightroom CC. It came together with the one for Photoshop CC. This was just a couple of days ago. Then, today I got another one for Photoshop CC.

Joe, I got an update for Lightroom CC. It came together with the one for Photoshop CC. This was just a couple of days ago. Then, today I got another one for Photoshop CC. After going through 500+ pictures with numerous LR crashes the Lightroom Queen finally sent a post out stating that there was a beta driver release for the AMD video card. I installed the driver and it seems to have fixed the problem. I would never have thought of the video driver. Glad I got her email.
