I know this is sort of what-you-see-is-what-you-get so far as the mechanics of the site; so, this is probably just wishful thinking.
I will throw it out there anyway.
It would sure be nice if this site had an alert system for when someone comes along five years later and LIKES a photo or a post; so far as I can see, there has never been such a feature on this site.
To my knowledge, the only way to know that someone has LIKED a photo is to bring the post up and see the LIKES there; you have no way of knowing when the LIKE occurred; and, after someone has forgotten the post or the photo and moved on to bigger and better things and doesn't ever actually revisit the post, ten thousand visitors could have came along and clicked the LIKE button and the original poster be none the wiser.
On some sites, there will be a little "Notifications" thingie that turns Red and the next time you visit the site, you can mouse over or click the thingie and see who has liked what and when since your last visit.
On some sites, I actually get an e-mail notifying me when someone LIKES a post.
On some sites, a LIKE actually bumps the thread to the top with a little post stating the LIKE; this is actually a very good way of handling LIKES as, if something deserves a LIKE, maybe it also deserves a second look.
If there is already such an ability on this site, looking at me like a big red flag, please enlighten me.
