Our humble summer place is in a development (CWR Boat Club) on the Oldman Reservoir in SW Alberta. Recently, I've been taking drone photos for a few lot owners and also taken some general photos of the development. Sold a few. All good. A friend has three matted 5X7 prints in a frame taken about 15 years ago from an airplane. The idea was that they put the boat club in context: dam, reservoir and the boat club. She asked me if I could take three similar photos with the drone for an updated version. So I did and they are quite similar. I decided to put them into a small poster and I might make some prints for people. I am seeking your opinions on the background color. Which one? Any other comments are welcome. Thank you! Clive   |

Personally, Clive, I like the blue background. It repeats the colors from the photos and even enhances those colors.

Thanks VickiD and hmcaAppreciate your feedback. I am so outnumbered: 2 at PSEM, DIL, GD and DIL's friend all prefer the blue. 5:1 So blue it will be.  |

I like the tan - although I'd prefer a slightly darker version of the tan - tan makes the photos stand out and the text easier to read -
No matter which - I'd remove the shadow from the text and put a little texture on the background.

Not like me to sit on the fence, but I really like both versions, sorry that doesn't help with your poll. The images in the light tan version don't appear as dark, was that intentional or is it just my eyes?

No matter which - I'd remove the shadow from the text and put a little texture on the background. Another late arrival. Blue for me, too. Personally, I think the background as is, is ideal. In my opinion, a texture would be too 'fussy', and would spoil the effect. |
