Thought some of our members might want to try to get out with their camera today for World Photography Day. While this article indicates the theme is Landscapes, I did see somewhere else that it was Understanding Clouds. Your choice what you submit. Your picture should be taken today. Not sure if I will get out for something but perhaps others will. |

Thinking about Landscape as a topic, I remembered a number of years ago being part of an on-line group headed by Anne Mc Kinnell. We would be given different assignments. One of these was " Intimate Landscapes. With that in mind, I thought I might take a walk around our property to see if I could find something that might fit that title. Not sure how successful I'll be but thought I'd share in case anyone else might to try this approach. |

All photographs fit the topic well. The ones with trees in especially so. It's the 'well-established and a little wild' look to them that really I like. The fence has turned a great colour and the ivy enhances it. Everything in the area is so good for wildlife too. I expect the bees like the flower.

I like the idea of capturing the small things around us that we all take for granted. Thanks, Jacki. I can go out shooting for an hour or more and come home with nothing I like. I was out for a short time yesterday and had a lot of fun looking for these "intimate landscapes".......or however else they might be described. It's the 'well-established and a little wild' look to them that really I like. Thanks, Mart. I appreciate your thoughtful comment. |
