I know I've been mostly absent lately, and there are a bunch of reasons for that...but I'm not going into them here. Suffice it to say, I went looking for an image for my Endless Possibilities Challenge this week and found this stunning bird! Of course it is named after Queen Victoria, 19th-century English monarch, and you can read more about this 'nearly threatened', world's most beautiful pigeon here:

What a great surprise to see all the various interpretations of this lovely bird right out of the gate!
--Jacki, you've given her a perfect crown and, I think, recreated her habitat so she feels right at home! I find the additional feathers on her head quite interesting.
--Frank, it bothered me that the original portrait was in profile, so you've remedied that! Thanks for that.
--Sepiana, using the sketch effect was a great way to accentuate her crown. I also really like the more muted colors and the way you finished it off with the texture and the frame.
--Helen, the humor in your version is just right! Very creative!

Using Smart Photo Editor I Applied ‘Another set of textures 017 filter by andrewb2012’ BG - Frenchkiss free texture blended with a gradient colour using the difference blend mode. Added 2 watercolour brushes by muttiy from DeviantArt Applied the Pen and Ink filter to a copy of the bird and blended with the multiply blend mode.

In Smart Photo Editor I applied the Steampunk Scetch by Mike6 to the image. BG is from the La Bella Collection of Textures by Magnolia Textures and blended together with a solid colour using the Exclusion blend mode. Used a shadow frame by myself and added a frame by Jodi to complete the page.
