Seeing the various creations that mart44 has been sharing with us took me back quite some years now to when I started trying to create things myself using Inkscape - a free vector software. I used to get a sketch or an image and try to copy it as closely as possible. I didn’t trace anything I just created shapes and using the tools provided in Inkscape reshaped those shapes to those needed to re-create an image such as the one in this page here.
Unfortunately I can’t remember where I obtained the sketch so I can’t attribute it - just know that I am not the originator of the sketched image. If you look closely, starting from the left you can follow some of the evolution and changes I made to create the eventual finished article at the right. It may not look like it but there are literally hundreds of layers that go to making that completed image.
I’m afraid I don’t have the patience to do this now but I thoroughly enjoyed it at the time. I haven’t looked at Inkscape for a long time and had to download the latest incarnation of the software in order to open my old files and I was really surprised to see just how much it has evolved over the years. Amazing really.

I think you have copied and coloured that really well Lillias. I know how difficult it can be to draw the exact shapes. I have used Inkscape but don't have it installed at present. Easier to use as time goes by but then all programs have a big learning curve. I did try getting to grips with it but not very successfully. As you say, it has evolved over the years and even has a dark mode interface now.
I sometimes like to copy real objects in vector to see how realistic they can be made to look digitally.

Thank you so much for your kind words Mart I appreciate them. Here are a few more I did in the same way. Again I can't remember where I obtained the originals so can't attribute them. The originals are on the left of the page and my efforts are on the right. I promise I won't bombard you all with any more. It was just a nice little walk down memory lane for me.

I know the main program is PSE but you definitely have another string to your artistic bow here.

Wow Lillias, that is so clever, great results. Now I will have to go and investigate Inkscape for myself.
