Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

As we continue to experience the effects of tropical depression Ophelia, these barriers can be seen all over town. As roads become flooded they are moved into position to block access. However, drivers will frequently ignore the barrier and attempt to drive around them......resulting in some cars needing to be towed.

A more rustic barrier - a fence and rocks to stop falling off the edge (it's a 6ft drop) Tony

Not really sure if we're keeping land lubbers away from the yachts, or keeping yachters away from land, but there's definitely a barrier. Thanks for the theme Sepiana!

A water barrier. Taken from the top of a dam designed to release water from the lake to a log chute and river. The historic log chute is in rather bad shape which hasn't been helped by the heavy rains. First shot is looking above the dam to the lake and the second looking down from the same spot to the log chute. There’s been a log chute here since 1861 and it's now the only one of its kind left in Ontario. Tony

It's a shame some drivers will ignore them. Nice interpretation of this theme.

Keeps most of the tennis balls in, most of the critters out. cjt, an eye-catching perspective, capturing the fence from one of its corners. Nice job!

I have to add this one! Supposed to keep everyone out? cjt, very nice! It looks like it is doing its job. Definitely a barrier!

We can almost feel the strength of the barrier and the motion of the water.

The ticket barriers at our local railway station. Dennis, a cluster of urban barriers. This is the kind of image that makes one go back to it to fully appreciate the role of these barriers. Impressive details!
