I'm interested in comments in the overall effect. I'l put the photo over in my gallery of the serving line ladies deciding it was time to do a dance, so they did! cjt

I like the background photo, so I want to see more of it. I would reduce the size of both the photos and the title plaque. Well, not that I want to see much more of the photo- what I’d like is things farther away from her so I can focus on her.
Journaling at bottom is difficult to read. A brush stroke under the text or another text color might help. I’m not a fan of capitalization while journaling (ok for titles), but that’s a personal choice

I'm glad you are sharing some of the pictures you took. Janice has given you some good advice. I will be following your thread as layouts are always a challenge for me as well. It will be a nice learning experience to see how your page evolves.

Busy backgrounds compete with photos, so I suggest toning it down. When telling a story with your photos, nothing should compete.

Definite improvement - now your photos are the focus, plus you can really read the journaling.

I prefer the first version BUT the red font is hard to read the the girl on the right could be smaller.

Higher contrast title. I'd drop the "They had..." leaving Food, Dancing, Costumes, Lots of Fun! Fewer words, allowing larger letters. I like simpler.  |
