I've got the Organiser set to remind me to do a backup every month. Previously I've backed up manually.
I click on the message which pops up and it duly prepares the backup. Then this error message appears
The external drive on which all photos and previous back ups are stored has 1.26 TB free.
D: Drive on which other data is stored has 656 GB free C: Drive on which all programs are stored has 157 GB free
I don't understand what it means by 'System'. Could someone help please?

Could Organiser be trying to create a backup on the C: drive rather the than D: drive?
If you go to 'File/Backup Catalog... in Organiser and follow the steps, you can choose the type of backup (full or incremental). The next step asks what drive and folder to store the backup in. I'm not sure if the process will create a folder for you on the D: drive but it might be best to have previously created one named Adobe Backup (or similar). Use the 'Browse' button to get to that folder and then click the 'Save Backup' button to start backing up.
Once that has been done, Organiser should then remember where the backup folder is and use it for automatic backups in future. If you still get the message because the backup really is bigger than the available space on the D: drive (not likely I guess), an external USB drive could be used.
Edit: In this case, I'd think 'System' would be a term used for the whole computer but perhaps excluding any storage disk such as the D: drive

Thanks again Mart. As this computer is so new I haven't yet done a manual backup on to it so you may well have hit the nail on the head. I'll do what you suggest.

Last week I did a manual bacup as recommended. Today I clicked the option to do an automatic one but still get the same error message. Any more ideas? I know I can create a manual incremental update but if it can be automated I am likely to do it more often.
